🔹 Key Responsibilities:

The Senior Network & Security Consultant will be responsible for planning, designing, and managing complex network architectures while ensuring robust security measures and operational excellence. Key responsibilities include:

  • Enterprise Network Design: Develop and implement comprehensive enterprise-level network architecture, covering LAN, WAN, data centers, and branch connectivity, ensuring high availability, scalability, and performance.

  • Advanced Network Technologies: Leverage Cisco ACI and other next-generation networking technologies to enhance network performance, reliability, and integration with cybersecurity solutions.

  • Network Security Leadership: Design and deploy advanced network security solutions, including NGFW, Zero Trust frameworks, micro-segmentation, and threat detection strategies, to protect critical infrastructure and applications.

  • Project Management & Implementation: Lead projects for deploying digital services, network upgrades, and security initiatives, ensuring delivery within timelines, budget, and quality standards.

  • Troubleshooting & Problem Resolution: Analyze and resolve complex, high-risk network and security issues across multiple layers and protocols. Perform packet-level analysis using tools such as Wireshark and employ advanced diagnostic techniques to ensure minimal downtime.

  • Operational Oversight: Oversee administration and management of core networks, data centers, and branch operations to maintain seamless, secure, and high-performing network services.

  • Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery: Implement and maintain Business Continuity (BC) and Disaster Recovery (DR) strategies for network infrastructure to ensure operational resilience during emergencies.

  • Monitoring & Performance Management: Design, deploy, and monitor network and security performance systems using tools like SolarWinds, Cisco DNA Center, and SIEM platforms. Proactively identify and mitigate performance bottlenecks and security threats.

  • Collaboration & Mentorship: Provide technical leadership to IT teams, ensure architectural alignment across departments, and support professional development of junior staff.

  • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain up-to-date network diagrams, architectural documentation, and technical reports for operational, compliance, and strategic purposes.

🔹 Required Qualifications & Experience:

To succeed in this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications and experience:

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Network Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline.

  • Professional Experience:

    • Minimum of 12 years in network and network security, with at least 4 years in architectural roles.

    • At least 5 years of proven expertise in designing, deploying, and managing Cisco ACI solutions.

    • Hands-on experience in enterprise network operations across LAN, WAN, data centers, and branch offices.

  • Technical Expertise:

    • Deep knowledge of network security frameworks such as NGFW, Zero Trust, micro-segmentation, and advanced threat mitigation.

    • Proficiency in network and security monitoring tools including SolarWinds, Cisco DNA Center, and SIEM systems.

    • Experience in network automation using platforms such as Ansible and Python scripting.

  • Analytical & Leadership Skills:

    • Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and strategic planning capabilities.

    • Ability to lead large-scale technical projects and mentor cross-functional IT teams.

    • Excellent communication skills for reporting, documentation, and stakeholder engagement.

🔹 Preferred Certifications:

  • CCIE Enterprise

  • CCIE Security

  • CCDE

  • Cloud Architecture & Security certifications (AWS, Azure, GCP)

  • Network automation expertise using Ansible, Python, or equivalent
